SONG | I Surrender All arr. by Blake Flattley & Alex Navarro

SCRIPTURE READING | Deuteronomy 6:4-7 and Matthew 18:1-5
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. 6 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. - Deuteronomy 6:4-7

At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. “Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me." -Matthew 18:1-5

PRAYER | From "The Valley of Vision: A Collection of Puritan Prayers & Devotions"  by Arthur Bennett [Amazon]
LEADER: O Spirit of God

CONGREGATION: Help my infirmities
When I am pressed down with a load of sorrow,
confused and not knowing what to do,
slandered and persecuted,
made to feel the weight of the cross,
help me, I pray

LEADER: If you see in us any wrong thing encouraged,
any evil desire cherished,
any delight that is not your delight,

CONGREGATION: any habit that grieves you,
any nest of sin in my heart,
then grant us the kiss of your forgiveness,
and teach our feet to walk the way of your commandments.

LEADER: Deliver us from worry,

CONGREGATION: and make us a happy, holy people;
Help us to walk in your ways with firm and brave steps,
and to wrestle successfully against weakness;

LEADER: Teach us to praise, adore and magnify you,
with music of heaven,
And make us a perfume of praiseful gratitude to you.

CONGREGATION: We do not crouch at your feet as a slave before a tyrant,
but rejoice before you as a son with a loving father.
Give us power to live as your child in all our actions,
and to exercise sonship by overcoming our sinful self.

LEADER: Preserve us from the intoxication that comes from prosperity;
Sober us when we are glad with a joy that comes not from you.

CONGREGATION: Lead us safely on to the eternal kingdom,
not asking whether the road be rough or smooth.
We request only to see the face of Jesus,
to be content with bread to eat,
with clothing to wear,
and to be brought to your house in peace.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

GENEROSITY LITURGY | From Trinity Grace  [website]
There is nothing we have
that we have not received;
all we have and are belong to God,
bought with the blood of Jesus.

To spend everything on ourselves,
and to give without sacrifice
is the way of the world
that the Father cannot abide.

But generosity is the way of those
who call Christ their Lord;
who love him with free hearts,
and serve him with renewed minds;
who withstand the delusion of riches
that chokes the word;
whose hearts are in heaven, and not on earth.

We are determined to increase in generosity
until it can be said
that there is no needy person among us.

We are determined to be faithful stewards
of such a little thing as money
that Christ may trust us with true riches.

Above all things, we are determined to be generous
because our Father is generous.
It is the delight of His daughters and sons
to share their Father’s traits,
and to show what He is like to all the world.

SONG | Send Me by Blake Flattley [iTunes]

Our Father
Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven;
give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen
